Your tasks - drive energy efficiency in the industry

In the role of officer, you will work to promote the green transition of the industry. The focus is on efficient energy use, and the work is based on government assignments and the implementation of the energy efficiency directive. You will be part of a team that manages a new investment support aimed at accelerating large energy users' work with energy efficiency and flexible electricity usage. The team also works on implementing knowledge-enhancing measures and networking activities. The role involves collaboration with colleagues at the agency and other stakeholders in forums at both national and international levels. Travel occurs both within Sweden and abroad.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree that the employer considers relevant, such as a master's degree in engineering or a degree with a scientific focus. You have practical experience in energy-related issues and have worked within or in collaboration with the industry or other large energy users. You have good knowledge of the conditions and needs of large energy users. Furthermore, you have excellent skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills and are accustomed to working in the Office suite and compiling reports.

It is advantageous if you have been involved in issues related to the electricity grid, flexible electricity usage, and energy efficiency. Experience from working within a government agency or regionally, particularly in roles with an energy or industry-related focus, is also advantageous.

You communicate clearly and engagingly, both in individual meetings and in larger groups, and are attentive and adapt to the situation. You are flexible and see opportunities in changes, while also being self-driven and taking responsibility for moving your work forward. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a constructive climate, and you are also proactive with a focus on achieving results. We place great importance on personal qualities. About the workplace

The Business Unit works with the green transition of the industry and CCUS through, for example, national and international monitoring, analyses, investigations, knowledge-enhancing measures, and collaboration. The unit also handles the implementation and management of various regulatory measures within the energy sector, such as legislation under the energy efficiency directive, investment support, and knowledge-enhancing measures.

We work both nationally and internationally, especially within the EU. Good to know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date as agreed. Positions within the Swedish Energy Agency may be placed in a security class, which means security clearance and background checks according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
